Every homestead requires a community of friends for true prosperity. Let's thank the following sponsors for providing materials, donations of resources, and/or time over the 2014 year.
I'm sincerely thankful for the support of both corporate and private sponsors:
Corporate Sponsors
- Daily Grind Coffee House (Martinsville, VA) provided 2,700 pounds of mixed coffee grounds and vegetable waste used in composting programs.
- Big Al & Sons Tree Services (Thomasville, NC) delivered 8 cubic yards of shredded tree trimmings for garden paths. Including hardwood logs for mushroom growing.
- Skyline Tree Service LLC (Martinsville, VA) provided four cubic yards of shredded tree trimmings for garden paths and erosion control.
Private Sponsors
- Mr and Mrs Wilson (Martinsville, VA) Bulk brush used for erosion control and small bird habitat. Bulk leaves for composting programs.
Educational services and demonstration site sponsor include The Sustainable Homestead Institute. This non-profit organization made possible the retort kiln biochar build-out and some nursery management classes.
Each contributes to this community in a meaningful way beyond the help they convey here. Some sponsors received promotional consideration. Be sure to check out all our sponsors as they make PROSPERITY HOMESTEAD possible.
